| Further Information | Black and white photograph showing the Red House, Trow Rocks. In 1854 the Tyne Improvements Commissioners purchased the house for £6,793 with the freehold and leasehold interest for 36 acres of land at Trow Rocks from which to quarry material to build the piers. A railway was constructed to transport all materials to the pier workings. |
