Further Information | The Tom Perry was launched at Coble Landing, June 1872. Miss T. Perry, of Harton donated £600 to the trustees of The Tyne Lifeboat Society so that the wishes of her husband should be carried out during her own lifetime. The naming ceremony was carried out by Miss Moore, daughter of the Mayor, Mr Edward Moore. Black and white copy of a print by John Henry Haggit, South Shields.
