| Further Information | Adelfotis II ashore on the Herd sands after engine breakdown. She had first struck the Black Middens before drifting onto the sands. The Groyne pier can be seen in the background. The old seaplane slipway is in front of the fence. The ship was later broken up where she lay. Crewman being rescued by Beeches Buoy. |
