| Further Information | This view is from a painting owned by Wilfred Barton of Harton House Road. The painting was the work of his father, James Barton who lived in Westoe Parade. He was a sea going gentleman who eventually became a chief engineer with P&O. Note St Peter's Church (with no trees in its graveyard), is just to the right of the centre of the picture. |
