| Further Information | Memorial to William Wouldhave, who designed the first purpose built lifeboat. The Wouldhave Memorial was unveiled on 23rd June, 1890 by J.T. Eltringham JP. Behind the monument, on the right, is the lifeboat 'Tyne' a replica of the original design. |
