| Further Information | Brinkburn Farmhouse, pictured 10 January 1978 was formerly a 45 acre farm off Stanhope Road rented by the father of Mrs Isabella Scott from the Harton Coal Company. After the death of Mrs Scott's father the South Shields corporation who had taken over the farm, allowed the Scotts to stay but the land was taken over for Council use in 1963. |
