| Further Information | The tugboat Atlas was classed as a salvage steamer. It was a Tyne built boat for service in the Suez Canal. Built in the J.P. Rennoldson yard in South Shields. She had a finely modelled hull, 158 feet long, 32 feet breadth and a depth of 17 feet. The photograph was taken by J.Burn of South Shields. |
