Further Information | This postcard originates from Portoferraio in Italy. "Homecliffe" was built by J Readhead and Sons in 1920. She was owned by the Cliffe Steamship company until 1934 when she was bought by the Avon Steamship Company. She was renamed "Avon Valley". In 1937 she was bought by United Merchants Shipping and renamed "Panos" . She was passed to the Ministry of War in 1944 and sank on 9th June 1944. |
