| Further Information | The open air pool at the North Shore Promenade, South Shields was 176 feet long and 50 feet broad. It was 3 feet 6 inches deep at the shallow end becoming 6 feet 6 inches deep at the deep end. It cost 3d for people to bathe in the pool and costumes and towels were available for hire at 3d and 1d respectively. |
