| Further Information | Hyde Street, looking north from Handel Street. The scene of many casualties and great damage during the bombing at 21.23 on October 2nd 1941. Two bombs destroyed twenty houses and damaged many more. People were trapped under debris or in their surface shelters resulting in some fatalities. |
