| Further Information | The War Memorial is situated on the corner of Front Street and Shields Road in the village. Erected in 1920 at the cost of £300. A distinguishing fact about the memorial is it lists not only the fallen but also the names of all who served in the First World War. Later this was updated to include the names of people who had served in the Second World War |
