Further Information | HMS Satellite R.N.V.R. Drill Ship built in 1883. First came to the Tyneside, North Shields, as a R.N.R. Drill Ship in 1902. In 1936 she was berthed at South Shields Corporation Quay. She went to the shipbreakers yard at Gateshead in 14th November 1947. She was replaced by the Melita later to be renamed Satellite. |
