Further Information | Black and white photograph showing ships laid up on the River Fowey. Ships are of the La Tunisienne Steam Navigation Co. Ltd, an Anglo - French offshoot of the Strick Line. The line's ships were named afeter places in Africa, ending in "a". Out of the nine vessels visible, only the Kerma, Marsa, Guelma and Tafna can be positively identified. The Guelma, Marsa and Tafna were lost to enemy action during the 1939-45 war. |
