| Further Information | The Horse-drawn tram was built in 1893 by W.F. Milnes. The route was from the Pier Head to Tyne Dock. The tram shows an advertisement for Wood's suits; the shop for Wood's the Tailors was at 26 Ocean Road. It opened in 1874 and finally closed in 2001, 125 years later. |
