| Further Information | Looking north from Sunderland Road, near Westoe Village. This view is of the cottages at junction of Dean Road and Imeary Street. Later this was the site of Pratt's bottling works, more recently a hairdressers and now letting agency. The wall on the right surrounded Shore House and was moved back twice before the house was pulled down about 1954. The site is now a Rest Garden. The Regent Cinema was erected on the site at the far left of the cottages. |
