Further Information | Shadwell Street, adjoining Salmon's Quay, near where Brigham's Dock used to be. Pier for ballast railway on left. Thomas Salmon, first Town Clerk, owned the ballast railway. The Quay has no reference to the fishing industry. A paddle steamer can be seen in the background as well as the faint outline of the High Light on the north side of the river. |
