Further Information | Ellison Street from the south. The entrance on the left is Greenbank Villas. Just past this on the left is the Methodist Sunday School, followed by the Methodist Chapel on the corner of Edgar Street and Ellison Street. This became St Kilda's (after they left Wear Street) then Jarrow Community Centre. The steeple on the left is Christ Church. You can make the Ben Lomond Hotel out in the distance. The steeple on the right is the Presbyterian Church on Ellison Street. Far right, the street curves to the right into St John's Terrace. All that remains are Greenbank Villas, Christ Church and the Ben Lomond Hotel, now that the flyover goes right over the centre of the site shown on the picture. |
