from the Pilots Stairs, Lawe Top. A ballast can be seen from the hill below
and a line of small railway wagons with large rocks in (probably for
use as a breakwater along the piers)  The Groyne and lighthouse can be seen and a large sailing vessels entering or leaving the Tyne.
