Further Information | Built in 1907 by J.T. Eltringham and Co, Stone Quay, South Shields. Built as the "Old Trafford" for the Manchester Ship Canal Co. she later passed into the hands of the Ridley Tug Co. of Newcastle who renamed her the Reliant. In 1970 she was acquired by the National Maritime Musuem, Greenwich where she is the principal exibit in the new Neptune Hall, which was opened by H.R.H Prince Philip on 19/07/1972. |
