| Further Information | The Dutch crane barge Taklift 1 has arrived in the Tyne to help in the demolition of the old Redheugh Bridge between Gateshead and Newcastle upon Tyne. The 2,308 ton crane, which specialises in salvage work, is pictured entering the river on 6 June 1984. |
