Readhead's Dockyard which closed in March 1983 ,the time this photograph was taken.The shipyard cranes are still in situ in the background. The 'Dock Clock' to the right. The ornate Bridge which connected the two parts of the business can be seen in front of the cranes. Demolition work has already removed a bridge and embankment. |
