| Further Information | The Esso Northumbria. Built by Swan Hunter at Wallsend Shipyard in September 1969. The deck could accommodate three football pitches but there will be only 31 crew. The tanker is 1,143 feet long and 170 feet wide. It will sail at about 16 knots. |
