| Further Information | Ensco drilling rig was launched in 1992. It was built in McNulty's quay in South Shields not far from Market Dock. The photograph shows the rig floating along the Tyne soon after its construction. North Shields can be seen behind the rig. The picture shows the rig with a partial view sailing off down the Tyne and out to sea. The rig is seen docked in McNulty's further down from the view of Captain's Wharf. |
