Further Information | SS Glenpark. Built in 1904 by George Brown & Co, Greenock. The SS Glenpark was a collier built for The Glenpark Steam Ship Company Ltd for the Tyne-London-Tyne run. In 1915 she was bought by the South Metropolitan Gas Company and renamed 'Quaggy'. During 1917 whilst under the command of Captain J McFarlane, she hit a mine and sunk 3 miles off Robin Hood's Bay. |
