| Further Information | Men from M H Southern, Timber Mechants, Jarrow went to Tyne Dock after one of their lorries carrying wood flooring shed its load near the junction of Whitehead Street and Slake Terrace temporarily blocking the road. Three ropes securing the load snapped sending the flooring in all directions. A traffic bollard was knocked over but no one was injured. |
