Further Information | Alphonse Constant Reyrolle was a Frenchman and in 1886 started a company to produce scientific instruments. He moved the business to Hebburn in 1901 and at its peak it employed 12,000 people and manufactured switchgear for power stations worldwide. Alphonse Reyrolle died in 1919. |
