Further Information | This view from the west side of the Park shows the area behind the bandstand with the ornate balastrades and benches. On the left is the Wouldhave Memorial and in the distance behind that is Tynemouth Priory. The harbour has many ships in front of the North Pier. The buildings, on the left, between the park and the harbour contained five coastguard cottages and the old ice rink. In the centre is the volunteer lifeboat watch tower that is still there today, as a listed building. On the right is the pathway down to the boating lake. |
