| Further Information | Residence of Joseph Mason Moore. Member of Town Council from 1862 - 1871 when he retired to become Town Clerk on the death of Thomas Salmon. Passionately fond of flowers and gardening was his hobby. He took great pride in the cultivation of chrysanthemums and once a year invited the public to his grounds to inspect, on these occasions he provided music and refreshments. He died in March 1911. |
