Further Information | William Wouldhave's grave in St. Hilda's churchyard before the road widening of Church Way, showing the original headstone. William Wouldhave was the parish clerk in St. Hilda's church, and inventor of the lifeboat as his memorial states. William's wife who died three years after him is also buried there.
