| Further Information | Black and white photograph showing some of the cast of Mardi Gras. As part of the 1987 All American Mardi Gras Event, a troupe of ballet dancers from Lubbock, Texas, USA graced South Tyneside with their skills. The Willis Ballet performed at several venues around South Tyneside during the month of July 1987. Peggy Willis (Artistic Director) is seen flanked by two members of her team. Angelique Cox and Gerry Woods in South Marine Park, South Shields shortly before giving an open air performance of a specially choreographed routine based on The Blaydon Races. July 1987 |
