| Further Information | The site of former shipyards in the Market Dock area, once cleared the area was developed as a residential area. The Albert Edward Dock is on the other side of the river and a three master tall ship is tied up there. On the left is the roll-on roll-off ferry landing - now the Newcastle International Cruise Terminal. The fuel tanks and tower blocks are in Jarrow. The skyline is Gateshead. The ship is the M.S. Medway. |
