| Further Information | The gates of Readhead's No. 2 Dry Dock which were rammed by a Greek ship aiming for No.1 Dock. The repairs were carried out by workers at Readhead's at a cost of £50,000. Work was hampered by the tides. The dock is occupied by the Cliff Quay which was awaiting major steel repairs. |
