| Further Information | The new launching platform at Readhead and Son's used for the first time for the launch of the Strick cargo liner Gorjistan. It appeared with a glass roof and glass sides. It was the idea of Mr Harold Towers, chairman and managing director of the company, to give protection against the rain and to provide all-round viewing of a launch for the guests. |
