| Further Information | Black and white photograph showing premises of Harton Moor Laundry and Dye works. This was situated on Harton Lane on the corner opposite the Grey Hen public house. It was originally the South Shields Laundry Co in 1904. At that time it would have cost 1d to launder a bedsheet and 6d a dozen for handkerchiefs. The premises existed for over 100 years. |
