| Further Information | Work on the new Greenfield Special School in Victoria Road East, Hebburn, completed by October. The school, which replaced the Auckland Road Special School had places for 45 children with learning disabilities. There was also a special care unit for 10 children with severe disabilities. The school cost about £120,000. |
