| Further Information | Work being carried out at Tyne Dock to convert the former Tyne ferry, Northumbrian, into a riverside restaurant. The photograph shows roof beams being put into position for the restaurant being built on the upper deck. The after vehicle deck was enclosed to form a lounge bar. The venture had failed by 1976. |
