| Further Information | The Alum House was once part of the 18th century chemical works of Isaac Cookson. Then the premises were taken over by Woods Brewery and became a pub in Victorian times, and even later served as offices for the Tyne Dock Engineering Co. It has now reverted to licensed premises. |
