| Further Information | This new bar was on Mile End Road, above a furniture store. This was the old Smith's Store that was on the left hand side of Mile End Road between The Scotia and the old multi-storey car park. Described as a bar without parallel in the area at the time. Imagine a dramatic gangster-era art decor, crowned with a palm beach and you have captured the atmosphere. |
