| Further Information | The Tin Chapel, Baring Street, first opened as a Methodist Chapel, 24.4.1883, used until the new chapel was constructed, opposite, some 20 years later. It once operated as a cinema. the Excelsior, when a ticket of the day would cost a child under 14 one penny, for which they would also receive a free stick of toffee. Later, in 1917, it would become the Woodbine Laundry and eventually a firewood store. |
