| Further Information | The 'pepperpot' of the Old Town Hall being lifted into place during the refurbishment of the Old Town Hall in 1977. Much of the woodwork of the roof was rotten. The building was dismantled to first floor level and a steel framed floor and reinforced concrete beam were installed. The original lead-domed cupola was replaced by a timber replica. |
