| Further Information | Bomb damage on Claypath Lane on 25 August 1940, between the hours of 01.40 to 05.12. That evening/morning 15 bombs fell in the borough. Some 200 people were made homeless due to damage done to houses in the area. That morning/evening one person was killed and 19 injured. The photograph shows the damage done to Claypath Lane, looking south west. |
