Further Information | Black and white photograph of The Lawe House. Built as a barracks for soldiers during the Napoleonic invasion scare, afterwards used as a business man's club and reading room by the gentlemen of Lawe House. It was to this house and committee that Willie Wouldhave took his model lifeboat 1789. Demolished in Sept. 1972 |
