| Further Information | Westoe Lane, later Westoe Road before 1905. The New Town Hall site is behind the wall on the left. The Town Hall Foundation Stone was laid in 1905, and opened in 1910. The Baptist Chapel is on the left at junction with Broughton Road. On the right is the Britannia Hotel, then the South Shields Equitable Cooperative Society Ltd, with St Bede's Church just behind the horse and carriage. |
