| Further Information | The grain terminal was owned by Tyne Grain, the North East farmers co-operative. The terminal was expanded to allow 33,000 of storage for wheat, barley and oil seed rape. Grain from the terminal was shipped to the Soviet Union, Ethiopia and the Middle East in 1984. |
