Further Information King Street, looking east, with the Railway bridge and Edinburgh
Buildings behind it.  Shops on the street included Gilhespy and Son,
boot manufacturers (54 King Street), A.Whale, watchmaker (54 1/2 King
Street) and John Bell, watchmaker (57 King Street) on the right hand
side.  The optician's on the left later became the site of the
National Provincial Bank.
