| Further Information | The Old Ferry Landing. At one time the ferry service took both car and foot passengers across the river to North Shields. In 1999 a new ferry landing was in place. On the left is the Customs House, with Readhead's shipyard beyond that. On the left, in the distance, are the quays and cranes of Tyne Dock. |
